Why should I shop at Care of Carl?
Italian family business Save the Duck was founded in 1914 by Foresto Bargi who had become fascinated with the water-repellent clothing used by the British troops during WWI. He took the idea back with him to Pisa, where he began producing water-repellent outerwear using British fabrics. Rapidly growing demand led the small workshop to become a clothing factory which would, in turn, become one of the biggest in Italy. Today, Save the Duck is most well-known for its down-free jackets with PLUMTECH® lining, a vegan-friendly down alternative that is both insulating and breathable.
