Atelier de production et de création, more commonly referred to by its abbreviation A.P.C., was founded in 1987 by the French-Tunisian designer Jean Touitou. Beginning as a protest against the gaudiness of 1980s Parisian fashion, Touitou’s efforts resulted in a more organic, down-to-earth vision and a style where simple basics and raw denim jeans were allowed to take a more prominent place.
