Moncler

Moncler was founded in 1952 in the French alpine village of Monestier-de-Clermont, not far from the city of Grenoble. With clothing perfect for both extreme weather conditions and the urban grind, Moncler has gained international renown for its outerwear, and its down jackets in particular.

René Ramillon and Andrè Vincent's Moncler began life as a manufacturer of outdoor equipment such as sleeping bags and tents. Though it was when the brand developed warm, down jackets for the employees at its chilly Alpine workshop that Moncler took its first steps into the world of fashion.
