Pendleton

In the mid-19th century, Pendleton began weaving his now iconic blankets, decorated with intricate patterns in bright colors, and motifs inspired by Native Americans and the Southwestern United States. Today, exclusive, knitted products in traditional American style are also produced. Pendleton has been a family-owned company for more than 150 years, and in over 100 of these, exclusive wool fabrics have been woven.

The British weaver Thomas Kay laid the foundation for Pendleton when he emigrated to Oregon in 1863. His expertise, as well as the tradition of American craftsmanship, lives on in everything that is produced today. The heart of the business is Pendleton Woolen Mills, which was opened by Kay's grandchildren in the early 20th century. Today, six generations later, Pendleton is still family-owned and continues to create its history.
