Suit trousers are, as the name suggests, often the lower part of a full suit, but can also be worn alone, preferably in combination with a shirt. If you often wear trousers that belong to your suit or alone, we want to make you aware that they will wear much faster than the jacket. In the worst case, this can result in the trousers getting a different colour tone than your jacket, and hence in the worst case can no longer be worn as a whole suit. A good and common solution to this problem is to buy two pairs of trousers for your suit, which extends the life of the garment considerably.

Suit trousers come in different variations of fabrics and designs. Lightweight and more finely woven wool fabrics create a more formal and well-dressed feel when compared to suit trousers made from flannel, cotton or corduroy. Suit trousers made from patterned fabrics can be a very interesting stylish detail, which also opens up to create visual effects of the wearer’s body shape. Long stripe patterns such as pinstripe and chalk stripe can make the wearer look taller and slimmer, because the long stripes reinforce the idea of length along the length of the stripes.

A chequered fabric can create a visual impression of a wider silhouette. A positive for the wearer who wants to appear wider, but something to think about if you already have noticeable width in your silhouette and do not want to enhance the impression of this.
