The idea behind Carl Dagg came when the brand’s two founders, caught in the rain and a little the worse for wear, tried to find shelter under a defective umbrella. They decided there and then to produce an umbrella that was simultaneously attractive, stable and functional. The result is currently produced in Northern Europe’s last remaining umbrella factory in Malung, Sweden.
Each component used in a Carl Dagg umbrella is selected with the utmost care. The umbrella fabric itself uses a cotton mix, while the handle is made from solid walnut. The leather details are also made in Sweden, and the bronze pushbutton is provided by Purveyor to the Swedish Court Sparrong.
