Swedish eyewear producer Nividas aims to offer eyewear that fits your style while still giving everyone the chance to see the world without limitations. The Nividas name means “we see” in Esperanto, the language constructed to unite people across cultures and borders.
Production of a pair of Nividas frames takes involves four months of expert craftsmanship and extensive quality controls. The process uses cellulose acetate, an artificial fibre derived from plant cellulose, which gives each pair of frames their own unique style and attitude. From these small blocks of acetate, the front and sidepieces of the frames are then carved out by hand. The company was founded in 2014 by Swedish trio Axel Jacobsson, Sebastian Pruszynski and Maja Kölqvist.
