Begg & Co
Founded in the famed Scottish town of Paisley, Begg & Co have been true pioneers in the world of weaving since 1866. Today, the heart of the business lies in the nearby coastal town of Ayr, where it designs and manufactures some of the world’s finest wool and cashmere scarves.
The Scottish town of Paisley is today most closely associated with the pattern to which it lends its name. Begg & Co were among the very first manufacturers to use this perennially popular pattern, though only two early examples of its paisley scarves remain – the first is owned by the Begg family themselves, while the other is proudly on display at the Paisley Museum.
